New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Thursday participate in the centenary celebrations of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), which conducts competitive examinations for recruitment to central government services.
Modi will release a commemorative coin, a stamp and a book titled '100 Landmark Judgements: Shaping the Policies of UPSC and Public Service Commissions in India', besides addressing the gathering, an official statement said.
The programme will mark the culmination of year-long celebrations that began on October 1, 2025, to commemorate 100 years since the establishment of the UPSC in 1926.
Stakeholders from across the country, including chairpersons and members of State Public Service Commissions, senior government officials, and academicians, among others, will participate in the event, which is part of a two-day programme organised by UPSC on September 30 and October 1.
'Shatabdi Samaroh - Manthan' was the inaugural event of the UPSC centenary celebrations held at Bharat Mandapam here on Wednesday. It featured addresses by eminent speakers, followed by panel discussions on various themes.
