New Delhi: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday launched three new courses on Artificial Intelligence to be offered by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, aimed at integrating advanced technology with management education.
The courses include a four-year BS in Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics, a Tech MBA, and an Integrated BS plus Tech MBA programme. While the BS course will be introduced from the 2026-27 academic session, the Tech MBA will commence in 2027-28.
Launching the programmes at the Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave here, Pradhan said India should strive to become a global leader in ethical and responsible AI. He emphasised the need to embed AI in education and management studies to prepare students for an AI-driven future while ensuring technology aligns with human values and national development goals.
Students enrolled in the BS (AI and Business Analytics) programme will have the option to pursue the integrated BS plus Tech MBA, completing both degrees in five years.
IIM Lucknow Director M P Gupta said the programmes aim to bridge the gap between technological innovation and commercially viable business models, strengthening India's AI capacity.
