New Delhi: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday called upon students of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi to drive innovation and technological advancement to achieve the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Pradhan, who interacted with undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students, researchers and innovators at the institute, said the present moment offers a unique opportunity to accelerate self-reliance in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Independence Day address.
“The talent, tenacity and resolve of our youth, coupled with the pursuit of self-reliance, will pave the way for strengthening Bharat's capabilities and enhancing technological and economic sovereignty,” he said.

Pradhan highlighted the crucial role of IITs as the bedrock of a self-reliant India and expressed confidence that the youth, backed by strong government support, will rewrite the rules of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship to build a “Samridhh and self-reliant Bharat” by 2047.

He expressed confidence that IIT Delhi will continue to lead in developing globally relevant technologies and solutions.
