Chennai: A Quality Assurance (QA) conclave focusing on the future of quality assurance in naval and defence manufacturing will be held at the Manekshaw Auditorium in New Delhi on February 13.
The conclave, themed “Traceability, Speed and Trust - Leveraging Technology for Smarter Quality Assurance”, will bring together senior officials from the Ministry of Defence, the Indian Navy, quality assurance agencies, shipyards, defence public sector undertakings and leading industry partners.
The event will focus on the growing role of digital technologies in strengthening quality assurance systems, improving traceability across the manufacturing chain, speeding up approvals and certifications, and building trust among stakeholders. It is expected to provide a common platform for policymakers, practitioners and industry leaders to share best practices and outline a roadmap for a modern, technology-driven QA ecosystem.
Technical sessions will include panel discussions on digital QA in shipbuilding, QA policy compliance and industry collaboration, and quality assurance in naval shipbuilding and spares replenishment.
Several initiatives, including the release of an industry capability catalogue and joint service guidelines, are also scheduled.
