New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the online registration portal for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination, scheduled to be held from June 22 to 30 in computer-based test (CBT) mode across 85 subjects.
The exam is conducted on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship, appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD programmes in Indian universities and colleges.
According to an official statement, the application process began on April 29 and will continue till May 20, 2026 (11:50 pm). The last date for payment of the examination fee through online modes is also May 20.
The correction window will be open from May 22 to May 24. The exam city intimation slip is likely to be issued by June 10, while admit cards will be available from June 15.
The application fee is Rs 1,150 for general category candidates, Rs 600 for general-EWS/OBC-NCL and Rs 325 for SC/ST/PwD/third gender applicants.
Candidates can apply only through the official websites and are allowed to submit a single application. They have been advised to carefully fill in their details, as no changes will be permitted after final submission.
The NTA said all communication will be sent through the registered email ID or mobile number, and advised candidates to follow instructions in the information bulletin to avoid disqualification.
