Bengaluru: RV University's School of Film, Media and Creative Arts will host the 4th edition of the Teen Indie Film Awards (TIFA) 2025 from November 10 to 14, featuring over 300 film submissions from 40 countries across six continents.
Positioned as India's largest student-led global film festival for creators aged 13-25, TIFA has grown into Bengaluru's third-largest film festival after BIFFES and BISFF.
The curtain raiser featured Suchitra Film Society President H. N. Narahari Rao unveiling the festival catalogue and teaser, followed by screenings of select films representing four continents and genres.
The five-day event will feature thematic segments — Media Day, AVGC Day (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics), Regional Cinema Day with Karnataka as the focus state, and an Awards Night.
The jury includes actor Amit Behl, TV9 editor R. Sridharan, filmmaker Utpal Datta, The Bridge founder Amanda Groom, and Custard Apple Pictures founder M. N. Gujari.
Key partners such as Hombale Films, TV9, and Frameboxx will host masterclasses and sessions. Competitions include an AVGC Hackathon, RJ Hunt, and the 48-hour filmmaking challenge “THEFT,” offering winners a chance to be launched by Hombale Films.
