Chennai: For the sixth year in a row the Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary school conducts a state-level science talent search examination.
According P. Prabahakarn, the Principal of the School, the preliminary examination will be held on August 22.
The examination would help students to assess their strengths and weaknesses in the field of Science. Brochures and registration forms would be sent to all schools in the State and a token registration fee of Rs. 30 per student will be collected, Mr. Prabakaran said.
In 2004, over 29,000 students across the State took the examination, and last year the close to 1.10 lakh student had participated in the event. This year the organizers expect more than 1.25 lakh students to take up the examination.
The last date for receiving entries is August 6.
