Bengaluru: The second Skill Development Summit will be held in Bengaluru from November 3 to 5, with a focus on preparing India's workforce for emerging technologies, global employment standards and future job opportunities.

Organised by the Karnataka government's Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, the three-day summit will be held at The Lalit Ashok Hotel on Kumara Krupa Road.

Skill Development Minister Sharanaprakash Patil, who released the event poster along with senior officials, said Chief Minister Shivakumar will inaugurate the summit themed 'Workforce 2030: Scale, Systems, and Synergy'.

The summit will bring together around 6,000 participants, including experts, industry representatives, students and young people.

Around 150 national and international experts, including NITI Aayog member Balasubramaniam and Mitti Cafe founder Alina Alam, will address various sessions. More than 100 ecosystem partners and over 50 exhibitors are also expected to participate.

Patil said the summit will discuss future human resource development, training in emerging technologies, global employability standards, public-private partnerships, inclusive growth and innovation.

This year's summit will also feature technology competitions for young people to develop innovative solutions to challenges in the skill development sector.

A dedicated 'Youth Zone' will allow students and young people to interact with industry representatives and explore career opportunities.

Awards will also be presented to organisations that have made significant contributions to skill development, training and employment generation.

Special training sessions will be conducted by experts to help participants gain practical exposure to next-generation technologies.

Registrations for the summit can be made through www.bengaluruskillssummit.com.
