Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh): SRM University-AP, Amaravati has announced the opening of admissions under the sports quota for the academic year 2025-26. The university will conduct sports trials on campus from May 26 to June 18, 2025, for 14 sports categories across both men's and women's divisions.

Candidates aged 16 and above who have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Classes X and XII (for B.Tech programmes), and 45% (for B.A., B.Sc., BBA and B.Com programmes) are eligible to apply. Students currently awaiting Class XII board results can also participate.

Direct admission without trials will be granted to students who have represented India in major international competitions including the Olympics, World Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and South Asian Games. Other applicants must appear for the sports trials.

The university offers up to 100% scholarships under the sports quota on a first-come, first-served basis. SRM University-AP boasts state-of-the-art sports infrastructure, experienced trainers, and a strong legacy of producing elite athletes. Notably, alumna Deepthi Jeevanji, a bronze medallist at the 2024 Paralympics and Arjuna Awardee, and Jyothika Sri Dandi, who represented India in the 4x400m relay at the Paris Olympics, are among the institution's sporting success stories.
