Chennai: Students of Chennais Amirta International Institute of Hotel Management showcased a series of sculptures carved out of fruits and vegetables depicting the journey of actor-turned-politician C. Joseph Vijay from cinema to politics at a special exhibition held in Chennai.

The event was organised at the Chennais Amirta International Aviation College campus in Royapettah, where students displayed 69 sculptures representing milestones from Vijay's debut film Naalaiya Theerpu to his latest political and cinematic journey linked to Jananayagan.

The exhibition was inaugurated by actor Sanjeev along with R Boomeenaathan, chairman of the Chennais Amirta Group of Institutions.

According to organisers, the sculptures were created over a period of 10 days by students of the institute, reflecting creativity, teamwork and practical artistic skills.

Sanjeev appreciated the students for their efforts and artistic talent and lauded the institution for providing platforms to showcase student creativity and skill-based learning.

Speaking at the event, Boomeenaathan said the Chennais Amirta Group of Institutions has been contributing to hotel management, aviation and allied sectors by preparing students for careers in national and international organisations. He added that the institution regularly conducts innovative programmes aimed at encouraging practical learning and talent development among students.

Organisers said the exhibition celebrated Vijay's cinematic and political journey while also highlighting the artistic abilities of the students.
