Thane: The Thane-based Vidya Prasarak Mandal (VPM) which has a cluster of education institutions in Thane and also management institutes, is now spreading its wings to UK by setting up the London Academy of Education and Research.

The Academy is being formally inaugurated on May 26 at the University of London.
Vijay Bedekar, the Chairman of the Vidya Prasarak Mandal, Thane, said this extension of the activities of VPM is considered to be really a tribute to the good work being done in India by VPM and a befitting tribute to the great Visionary Dr V N Bedekar.

Bedekar said that the VPM'S London Academy of Education and Research was born on February 10, 2009 to establish VPM's footprints in the U.K. VPM's Group of Institutions cuts across almost all faculties of education - arts, science, commerce and management, law and engineering

Through our London Academy, we would like to serve the cause of high ended quality education through state of the art products and services. We have a renowned past in view of landmark achievements and notable contributions in the field of primary, secondary and tertiary education, he said.
