Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) has issued a fresh notification for the direct recruitment of 2,708 Assistant Professor vacancies in Government Arts and Science Colleges and Government Colleges of Education.

The move follows the cancellation of Notification No. 02/2024, which was earlier published on March 14, 2024, for 4,000 posts, as per Government Orders No. 230 and 231 issued by the Higher Education (F2) Department on October 6, 2025.

The new notification, No. 04/2025, provides detailed information on course-wise vacancies, educational qualifications, age criteria, and application procedures. Candidates can submit their applications online through the TRB portal: https://www.trb.tn.gov.in from October 17 to November 10, 2025.

Candidates who had applied under Notification No. 12/2019 (dated August 28 and October 4, 2019) and Notification No. 02/2024 are required to re-apply under the new notification.

However, these candidates are exempted from paying the examination fee and will also receive age relaxation as per the earlier notifications.
