Chennai: Education Minister Rajmohan on Monday announced that the Class 10 public examination results in Tamil Nadu will be released on May 20.

Around nine lakh students, including private candidates, had appeared for the SSLC examinations conducted across the state from March 11.

The Directorate of Government Examinations is currently carrying out final procedures for publication of results after completing the answer sheet evaluation process.

The announcement came after Rajmohan held discussions with Vijay regarding the release of the examination results.

The minister also announced that schools for students of Classes 1 to 3 would reopen on June 4 after the summer vacation, while classes for students of all other standards would resume on June 1.

Rajmohan also released new textbooks prepared for Classes 1 to 3 under the revised curriculum framework.

Students can access their results using their registration number and date of birth through the official websites TN Results, DGE Tamil Nadu and DigiLocker Results.

The results can also be obtained through the official WhatsApp number 78452 52525. Students will additionally receive the results through SMS on the mobile numbers registered with their schools, officials said.
