Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation has invited tenders to construct 6,672 'smart' classrooms in 5,322 government schools across the state at an estimated cost of Rs 128 crore.

According to the notification, the selected bidder will also be responsible for maintaining the classrooms for a period of five years.

The tenders are scheduled to be opened on November 28.
