Chennai: Government schools in Tamil Nadu recorded a pass percentage of 91.26% in the SSLC examinations 2025, while Government Aided schools registered 93.63% and Self-Financed Private schools achieved a pass percentage of 97.99%.

As many as 4,917 schools out of a total of 12,485 that appeared for the SSLC common examinations recorded a 100% pass rate. Among them, 1,867 were Government schools.

The Class 10 board examinations for the academic year 2024-25 were conducted from March 28 to April 15, 2025. The results were officially declared on May 16, 2025.

A total of 8,71,239 students appeared for the exams this year, including 4,35,119 girls and 4,36,120 boys.

The overall pass percentage in the state stood at 93.80%, showing an improvement over last year's pass percentage of 91.55%.
