Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) today issued the notification for the Combined Civil Services Examination - Batch IV, aiming to fill 3,935 vacancies across various posts, including Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant, Typist, Stenographer, Forest Guard, and Forest Guard.

The application process opens today and will remain open until May 24, 2025. Candidates need to apply through the official TNPSC website. The examination is scheduled for July 12, 2025.

For the first time in eight years that the Commission has issued consecutive notifications for the Combined Public Services Examination in 2024 and 2025.

In total, the examination has addressed 17,799 vacancies over the five financial years, from 2022 to 2025. This includes 3,560 vacancies filled on average per financial year, with vacancies filled for posts such as Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant, Typist, and Stenographer.

For the 2025-26 financial year, the TNPSC has announced 3,678 vacancies for these posts, excluding the Forest Guard positions. Compared to previous years, the number of vacancies is expected to rise further based on the volume of applications received from government departments and institutions, said S. Gopala Sundara Raj, Secretary, TNPSC.
