Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has introduced an online facility for candidates to submit petitions and first appeals under the Right to Information (RTI) Act.

In a statement, the Commission said the move aims to enhance transparency and streamline the process of accessing information. Candidates can now file petitions and first appeals through the government's RTI portal — https://rtionline.tn.gov.in.

The Commission has urged candidates to make use of this digital service and avoid sending manual petitions or appeals by post.

The online system is expected to simplify the RTI process for candidates seeking information from the Commission, ensuring faster and more efficient handling of applications, said S. Gopala Sundara Raj, Secretary, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.
