Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) on Tuesday issued a notification for the Combined Civil Services Examination-II (Groups II and IIA) to fill about 645 vacancies across various government departments for the 2025-26 fiscal.

Applications can be submitted through the Commission's website from July 15 to August 13.

The preliminary examination is scheduled to be held on September 28, 2025.

Candidates have been given the option to pay the exam fee through UPI for added convenience.

The vacancies include posts such as Sub-Registrar, Junior Employment Officer, Forester, Senior Revenue Inspector, and Assistant.

The number of vacancies is tentative and may be increased based on additional requirements received from departments before counselling.

For the first time since 2018, the Commission has released the notification for Groups II and IIA in two consecutive years—2024 and 2025.

Additionally, in the interest of candidates, the syllabus for the Main Examination under Group IIA has been revised.

This marks the 13th consecutive year that TNPSC has released the exam notification as per the annual schedule, reinforcing its commitment to timely recruitment, said S.Gopala Sundararaj, Secretary, TNPSC.
