Moradabad: Police have registered an FIR against a school-cum-madrassa in Moradabad after a father alleged that his 13-year-old daughter was asked to submit a “virginity test” report for admission, officials said.
The girl, a Class 8 student, had not attended the institute for an extended period without informing the administration. When her father, a resident of Moradabad originally from Chandigarh, later sought her re-enrolment, the authorities allegedly refused admission and demanded the report.
Circle Officer (Highway) Rajesh Kumar said the police are investigating the matter and appropriate legal provisions will be applied based on the findings.
The institute, which functions both as a madrassa and an inter college, is affiliated with the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Board and the Basic Shiksha Department.
