Chennai: Vembu Technologies has announced an expanded market focus in India, rolling out a channel-first strategy backed by dedicated teams, partner initiatives and regional programmes to accelerate growth in the SMB and mid-market segments.

The company said it is setting up India-focused teams to drive partner acquisition, enablement and execution, while strengthening collaboration with distributors, resellers and managed service providers to widen its footprint.

As part of the initiative, Vembu is scaling field sales operations and organising regional partner meetups, along with structured onboarding programmes including webinars, technical training and certification tracks.

The firm is also stepping up participation in industry events such as ISODA Tech Summit and Bengaluru Tech Summit to engage with the broader technology ecosystem.

Central to its strategy is BDRShield, the company's backup and cyber resilience platform, positioned as a cost-effective, “Made-in-India” solution for businesses.

CEO Sekar Vembu said India is a key growth market and the company aims to build a strong partner-driven ecosystem to expand adoption of its data protection solutions across the country.
