New Delhi: Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan on Monday released two volumes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's selected speeches titled “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas”, covering the fourth and fifth years of his second term.
Speaking at the event organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Vice-President said the books provide a window into the Prime Minister's contributions, vision and dreams for the nation.
Describing Modi as “a living inspiration for millions,” he said the Prime Minister's determination has shown the country “how the impossible can be made possible.” The two volumes, comprising 76 speeches and 12 Mann Ki Baat addresses for 2022-23 and 82 speeches and 9 Mann Ki Baat addresses for 2023-24, have been compiled thematically into 11 sections each.
The Vice-President noted that the speeches highlight the Prime Minister's clarity of thought, forward-looking vision and focus on inclusive governance. He said they reflect India's transformation from being among the “Fragile Five” economies a decade ago to the world's fourth-largest economy today.
He pointed to Modi's emphasis on reviving cultural identity through initiatives such as Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Kashi Tamil Sangamam, Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, and the renaming of Rajpath as Kartavya Path.
The Vice-President also lauded government schemes including Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, PM-KISAN, Mudra Yojana and PM SVANidhi, which he said have lifted more than 25 crore people out of extreme poverty in the past decade.
Highlighting youth-focused programmes such as Startup India, Skill India, Khelo India, and Mera Yuva Bharat, he said these are foundational pillars for achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047.
CP Radhakrishnan congratulated the Publications Division of the I&B Ministry for compiling the volumes, which he said would inspire citizens to remain committed to their duties during the Amrit Kaal.
