New Delhi: The Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect initiative, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports as part of Seva Pakhwada, has crossed a major milestone, with sessions held in over 55 universities since its launch on September 17.
The special edition of Yuva Connect is being conducted from September 17 to October 2, marking the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The programme is being held across 75 educational institutions—each location chosen for its connection with the Prime Minister's life and achievements. Rural, urban, and tribal campuses are part of the effort to ensure wide participation.
Seventy-five Youth Icons—including winners of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, National Youth Awardees, NSS awardees, and state champions of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders' Dialogue—are leading the sessions. Presentations showcase India's growth story over the past 11 years and the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
Interactive “Yuva Samvad” sessions encourage students to share queries and suggestions while engaging directly with policymakers, public representatives, and youth leaders. The initiative targets youth aged 15-25, aiming to inspire them to contribute actively to India's development roadmap.
Prominent institutions that have hosted sessions include Birsa Munda Tribal University (Gujarat), Swami Vivekananda University (West Bengal), Indian Maritime University (Tamil Nadu), Dhanamanjuri University (Manipur), Government Degree College (Kargil, Ladakh), and Sophia Girls College (Ajmer, Rajasthan).
The programme continues to empower young minds nationwide, strengthening their role in shaping a self-reliant and developed India by 2047.
