New Delhi: XLRI Jamshedpur has introduced an eight-month executive development programme aimed at preparing senior human resources professionals for strategic leadership roles amid changing workplace dynamics driven by artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation and evolving business models.

The Senior Executive Development Programme in Building Future CHROs is designed for HR professionals with at least 10 years of experience and seeks to equip participants with skills in strategic human resource management, organisational design, workforce planning, leadership development and business decision-making.

According to XLRI, the programme combines over 100 hours of live online faculty-led sessions with two campus immersions, case studies, business simulations, peer learning and a capstone project focusing on organisational challenges.

The curriculum includes strategic HR leadership, talent management, performance and rewards, HR analytics, finance, operations, industrial relations, change management and enterprise leadership.

The institute said the programme has been developed in response to the expanding role of Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs), who are increasingly expected to contribute to business strategy, workforce transformation and organisational resilience in addition to traditional human resource functions.

XLRI said rapid advances in AI, automation and hybrid work have elevated people strategy as a key component of business strategy, requiring HR leaders to develop broader capabilities in business management and organisational transformation.

Founded over seven decades ago, XLRI is among India's leading management institutions and has a longstanding focus on human resource education and leadership development.
