Pavithra Sridhar completed her Bharathanatya Arangetram on the 16th of March 2024 at the Dandenong Drum Theatre. She is a dedicated student at Natya Kala Mandir and her Guru is the illustrious Smt. Sujatha Surrendran. This auspicious occasion marks the graduation of a student and requires years of rigorous training. Accompanying artists at Pavithra's Bharathanatya Arangetram were Shri Ahilan Sivanandan (vocalist), Shri Ramanathan Srinivasan (mridangam artist), Shri Murali Kumar (violinist), Shri Ramani Thiagarajan (flutist) and Aarthika Surendran (nattuvangam support).
Pavithra's journey in Bharatanatyam commenced in the year 2009, and since 2017, she has been under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Sujatha Surrendran, whose talent and guidance have been invaluable. Pavithra presented eight dances in her Arangetram: Pushpanjali, Kohala Narthana Ganapathy, Guru Vandanam, Varnam, Ardanishwaram, Mahakali keerthanam, Thillana and Thamarai Ondru Malar. Each piece is a testament to dedication and perseverance, requiring over two years of intensive preparation.
None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of her family and friends. The presence of approximately 400 individuals filled the space with an energy that was truly indescribable, making this day all the more memorable and fulfilling for Pavithra and her family.
