Dear all,I am delighted to take over as the president of the Northern Tamil Association for this year (2023-24). I would like to begin my term by thanking you all for the unfailing support you give to this organisation and I am sure that you will help me and my team with delivering another year of events in a grand and successful way.We are planning our regular line up of events this year, starting with the annual Deepavali kondattam on the 4th November at the Wythenshawe Forum Hall in Manchester. Over the years, our Deepavali event has garnered more and more support and the standard of performances has been elevated to a level that has made judging very difficult. I’ve no doubt that this year would be no different and we look forward to a fantastic line up of performances from children and adults alike. Other work that is happening includes digital publication of Thendral magazine with entries that were received last year. We are also receiving entries for next year’s edition.Our annual pechu potti competition is a hugely popular event attracting participation from young talents from Tamil schools across the country. We are currently deciding the date and venue of this event this year and the details will be published soon.
