The Central University Entrance Test (CUET), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is mandatory for admission to various educational institutions, including central universities across the country.
CUET is held separately for undergraduate (CUET-UG) and postgraduate (CUET-PG) programs. Students aspiring for admission to master's degree programs in the academic year 2025-26 can now apply for the CUET-PG examination.

All central universities
State universities
Other participating universities
Autonomous colleges
Private, virtual, and specialized institutions
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in the relevant field or an equivalent qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Students in their final year of undergraduate studies are also eligible to apply.
Exam Pattern
Mode: Computer-based test
Subjects: A total of 157 subjects are available
Questions: 75 questions in total (English and Hindi)
Duration: 90 minutes
Scoring: 4 marks for each correct answer, with a penalty of 1 mark for each incorrect answer
Limit: A candidate can apply for up to 4 subject papers
Examination Centers
The exam will be conducted in 285 cities across India and 27 international locations. Applicants can select up to 4 preferred cities during registration, though the final decision on the examination center will rest with the NTA.
