After a gap of 41 years, India has entered the era of human spaceflight. Space is a remarkable place to experience. It offers deep calm and a stunning view that becomes even more fascinating with time.

The Difference
The longer one stays there, the greater the sense of wonder. In fact, I did not wish to return. Experiencing space travel firsthand was very different from everything I had learned during training.

The future of India's space science is extremely promising. The International Space Station mission plays a vital role in shaping the vision of India's ambitious Gaganyaan programme.

Growth
The country's space aspirations include the Gaganyaan human spaceflight mission, the proposed Bharatiya Station—India's own space station—and, eventually, a human mission to the Moon.

Though the lunar landing is targeted for 2040, preparations for these missions are already in progress. This sector will expand rapidly over the next 10 to 20 years. The objectives are demanding, but they are achievable by determined individuals like you.

A Great Nation
As India strengthens its human spaceflight capabilities, the sector will generate vast employment opportunities. Indian youth are highly capable. They must remain focused, enthusiastic and committed to hard work.

By 2047…!
It is their duty to contribute to building a developed India by 2047. Space missions inspire hope that even a child from a rural background can one day travel to space.

I eagerly await many more space missions. I am keen to undertake a spacewalk and will need two more years of training.
