Chennai: Anna University Registrar Prakash has directed affiliated colleges to submit relevant documents online by January 31 to renew their recognition.
Key Points from the Circular:
The qualifications and conditions for recognition of undergraduate and postgraduate programs have been detailed on the university website https://www.annauniv.edu.
Colleges must pay the required fee and complete the recognition process by January 31.
A grace period is provided until February 7, subject to a fine of ₹50,000 for delayed applications.
Document Submission Requirements:
Updated information on faculty, including Aadhaar, PAN, bank account details, and ID numbers, must be uploaded. Newly appointed faculty details, along with mobile numbers, should also be submitted to generate a unified identification number.
Engineering, technology, architecture, and management colleges must upload details of students from the last four academic years and include income and expenditure statements for the past three years.
Colleges are required to produce original documents upon request. Failure to submit the required documents by the deadline will result in the cancellation of recognition. Additionally, colleges found to have submitted fraudulent documents post-recognition will face immediate revocation of their status.
The university has emphasized compliance with the guidelines to maintain operational continuity and uphold academic standards.
