Chennai: As part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, CVRDE (a DRDO unit) organized an exclusive exhibition for school students on January 20, 2025, at its premises in Avadi, Chennai.

The event showcased flagship CVRDE/DRDO products, aiming to inspire young minds and introduce them to cutting-edge defence R&D technologies.

Highlights included lectures by senior scientists, a video presentation on CVRDE innovations, and scale-model displays indoors. Outdoors, students witnessed a live demonstration of a main battle tank.

J. Rajesh Kumar, Outstanding Scientist and CVRDE Director, and T. Panneer Selvam, Scientist 'G' and Additional Director, addressed the students during the inaugural session.

Coordinated by scientists K. Anbazhagan and R. P. Chandrasekhar, the event attracted around 1,400 students from 24 schools, offering a hands-on experience of defence technology innovations.
