Kovai: The Dinamalar Daily Student Edition 'Pattam,' in collaboration with Chennai Institute of Technology, launched its quiz competition yesterday at Ashram Matriculation High School, Coimbatore, attracting over 400 participants from various districts.
Organized by Dinamalar's Student Edition 'Pattam' and Chennai Institute of Technology, the quiz began yesterday at Ashram Matriculation High School in Coimbatore.
The initiative, which started in 2018, aims to promote scientific research, mathematics, and language skills among school students, fostering a thirst for knowledge and academic excellence.
In this year's edition, SSVM, also joins the band of sponsors. Satya Agencies has joined as a co-sponsor.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 400 students, of whom 16 top scorers advanced to the final round, competing in teams of two.
In the three-round final, students Viviya and Pranav from class 'E' emerged victorious, earning the top spot. Medals and certificates were presented to the finalists by Asram Matriculation School Principal Devendran, Managing Director Gauri Udayendran, and Principal Saranya.
More than 150 schools from Coimbatore, Tirupur, and Nilgiri districts are participating in the competition. The highest-scoring teams will advance to the semi-finals, with eight teams ultimately competing in the finals.
Student testimonials highlighted the impact of 'Pattam' magazine on their learning journey.
Vivya noted, “The magazine inspires us with general knowledge and math theory, helping us innovate and excel.” Pranav shared, “The quiz covered general knowledge, some tough, some manageable. I'll focus on current affairs for the next stage.”
This event continues to inspire young minds, encouraging them to pursue academic growth and intellectual curiosity.
