Delhi: Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Education, Jayant Chaudhary, engaged with athletes and para-athletes from Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NV) excelling in national and international sports events.

Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra also attended, sharing his insights with students and officials, including Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, School Education, and Nidhi Pandey, Commissioner, KVS.

The event highlighted the achievements of 14 award-winning student-athletes, with hundreds of KV and NV students and teachers joining virtually.

Chaudhary praised the athletes' dedication and emphasized the importance of mindset, structure, and discipline in sports. He linked this ethos to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, stressing lifelong learning and the integration of sports and education.

Bindra recounted his 22-year sports journey, highlighting lessons in hard work, integrity, and self-respect, while underscoring Olympic values of Excellence, Respect, and Friendship. He commended the program's potential to inspire students.

Sanjay Kumar appreciated the program's vision and reaffirmed NEP 2020's role in empowering KV and NV students.

The event concluded with students sharing achievements and interacting directly with Bindra, who provided thoughtful guidance, leaving a lasting motivational impact.
