Coimbatore: The Dinamalar oration contest for school students showcased remarkable talent, as students captivated audiences with their eloquence and innovative ideas.
The event, organized by Dinamalar Daily, in association with the Indian Water Works Association, AIM NGO, and Thirukkural Research Institute, took place yesterday.
Students from government and private schools participated enthusiastically, addressing two thought-provoking topics: "My Modern Thoughts on Water and Environment Conservation" and "Our Role in Water and Environment Management."
Competitions were held across multiple venues, including Kuniyamuthar Sri Krishna College of Technology, Echanari Rathinam College, Peelamedu PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, and Pollachi BA College of Arts and Sciences, drawing 180 participants.
The event began at 10:00 AM, and results are expected to be announced within a week.
Prizes:
For Class VIII to X students:
1st Prize: ₹7,000
2nd Prize: ₹5,000
3rd Prize: ₹3,000
For Plus One and Plus Two students:
1st Prize: ₹10,000
2nd Prize: ₹7,500
3rd Prize: ₹5,000
The awards ceremony is scheduled for February 1st at the seminar hall of Sri Krishna College of Technology, Kuniyamuthuar.

Tamilarasan, Corporation Higher Secondary School, Udiyampalayam: "Excessive use of fertilizers harms health. It's vital to shift to natural alternatives."
This enriching event successfully fostered awareness and dialogue among young minds about pressing environmental issues.
