Chennai: Lennox (NYSE: LII), a global leader in HVACR solutions, has announced a $6 million expansion of its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Chennai. The facility will now span 150,000 sq. ft., allowing the workforce to grow from 900 to 1,500 employees.

Equipped with cutting-edge facilities, the expanded GCC will support Lennox's global operations in HVACR innovation. The new workspace includes modern collaborative zones, advanced Controls & IT labs, a gym, play area, privacy pods, recharge rooms, a mother care room, and training facilities to enhance employee well-being and productivity.

Since its establishment in 2010, Lennox's Chennai GCC has evolved into a strategic hub, expanding its capabilities beyond IT and Engineering to include Finance, HR, Marketing Communications, Legal, and Customer Experience.

Prakash Bedapudi, Executive Vice President and CTO, emphasized Chennai's importance in Lennox's growth: "With a $14 million investment in India over 15 years, we are committed to innovation, job creation, and sustainability.”

Lennox's expansion aligns with Tamil Nadu's business-friendly policies, leveraging its skilled workforce and infrastructure to drive HVACR advancements, collaboration, and sustainability for global markets.
