Bengaluru: MeritTrac, a Testing & Assessment provider in India, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Occupational English Test (OET), a global leader in English language testing for healthcare professionals.

This collaboration is aimed at boosting the international career prospects of Indian nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.

With a global shortage of 4.5 million nurses projected by 2030, this partnership will facilitate the delivery of OET tests in Bangalore, covering 12 healthcare professions.

The OET test, recognized by over 500 employers, regulators, and universities worldwide, will ensure that healthcare professionals in India can meet international language proficiency standards.

Manjunath K P, COO of MeritTrac, highlighted the company's unique position within the Manipal Group to raise awareness of the OET test among healthcare professionals in India. Tom Keenan, OET's Regional Director for APAC, emphasized the value of MeritTrac's expertise in the healthcare sector and their ability to deliver secure and high-quality assessments.

The partnership aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem involving nursing schools, employers, and OET-accredited preparation partners, all working together to enhance test preparation and assessment processes. This initiative is expected to expand access to international healthcare careers for Indian professionals.

By aligning with OET, MeritTrac seeks to contribute to the global healthcare workforce, ensuring Indian professionals can demonstrate their language proficiency to meet international standards.
