Chennai: The Tamil Nadu results of the Plus 1 general examination were announced this morning ( 14 May), revealing notable achievements across various metrics.
Among the highlights, 241 government schools achieved a remarkable 100 percent pass rate, with female students once again outperforming their male counterparts.
A significant total of 8,11,172 candidates took-up the examination, with 7,39,539 candidates successfully passing. This translates to an overall pass rate of 91.71 percent, a slight improvement from last year's 90.93 percent.
Notably, 241 government schools maintained a flawless 100 percent pass rate, underscoring their commitment to academic excellence.
Breakdown of pass rates by school type:
Government Schools: 85.75%
Government Aided Schools: 92.36%
Private Schools: 91.61%
Girls Schools: 94.46%
Several students demonstrated exceptional performance by achieving perfect scores of 100 out of 100 in various subjects:
Tamil: 8 students
English: 13 students
Physics: 696 students
Chemistry: 493 students
Biology: 171 students
Accountancy: 415 students
Economics: 741 students
Computer Applications: 288 students
Business Mathematics and Statistics: 293 students
Pass rates by subject category
Science: 94.31%
Commerce: 86.93%
Arts: 72.89%
Vocational: 78.72%
In terms of district-wise performance, Coimbatore emerged as the top-performing district with an impressive pass rate of 96.02 percent. Erode district secured the second position with 95.56 percent, closely followed by Tirupur district at 95.23 percent.
For access to detailed results, High School Headmasters can download the Marks List for Plus 1 Students starting from 10:00 AM today by visiting the website www.dge.tn.gov.in using the provided ID number and password.
Additionally, Chief Education Officers can obtain examination results and analysis reports for all schools in their district from 10:00 AM onward using their designated credentials, announced, Director of Government Examinations, Sethurama Verma.
