Chennai: The Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), organized a National Seminar on “Agasthiyar” with technical support from the Central Council of Siddha Medicine, Ministry of AYUSH, and the National Institute of Siddha Medicine, Chennai.

Held as part of Kashi Tamil Sangam 3.0, the event highlighted the relevance of Siddha medicine in modern healthcare.

Presided over by Prof. S.N. Sangwar, Director of IMS-BHU, the seminar featured insights from Dean P.K. Goswami on Agasthiyar's contributions to health. Experts, including Dr. K. Vennila, Dr. Gayathri, and Dr. P. Anparasan, discussed Siddha's integration with modern medicine. Dr. A. Rajendra Kumar provided fresh perspectives on its national impact.

Chaired by Prof. Murthy and coordinated by Prof. O.P. Singh, the seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anurag Pandey, emphasizing the growing significance of traditional medicine in today's healthcare landscape.
