Chennai: The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy), will hold its Global Alumni Meet (GAM) 2025 in Chennai on January 4, as announced by Director Dr. G. Aghila.

Organized by RECAL, the institute's alumni association, the event celebrates the legacy of REC/NIT Trichy.

Key speakers include N. Chandrasekaran, Chairperson of the Tata Group, as Chief Guest, and Dr. Palanivel Thiagarajan, Tamil Nadu IT Minister, as Guest of Honour. Gopi Kallayil, Google's Chief Business Strategist for AI, will deliver the keynote, while Chandrayaan-3 Project Director Dr. P. Veeramuthuvel and Tata Steel CEO T.V. Narendran are among the notable attendees.

GAM 2025 will also unveil a ₹150-crore Research and Innovation Hub, focusing on AgriTech, SpaceTech, AI/ML, and more. NIT Trichy continues to empower students with scholarships, mentorship programs, and initiatives to drive innovation and academic excellence.
