Applications are now open online for the Prime Minister's Education Scholarship Scheme, aimed at young achievers from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds.

This Central Government scholarship initiative targets economicallye and socially disadvantaged students, offering financial assistance to support their education.Eligible students from Tamil Nadu, enrolled in schools listed on the National Scholarship Portal, can apply for the academic year 2024-25.

Eligibility Criteria and Deadlines:

Income Limit: Annual parental income should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
Application Deadline: October 31.
Verification Deadline: Institutes must verify applications by November 15.
Renewals: Students wishing to renew can do so via the "Renewal Application" link on the National Scholarship Portal.
Selection and Application Process:

New applicants will be selected based on academic performance in 9th and 11th grades. Applicants with at least 60% marks, enrolled in listed schools, must enter their mobile number and Aadhaar details on the National Scholarship Portal. They will receive an OTP, unique registration number, and password to access the portal and upload necessary documents.
