Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has reported an increase in enrollment at government primary schools, attributing this growth to the implementation of several new programs under the DMK regime.
Key initiatives include:
A ₹600 crore breakfast program for government primary schools
A ₹436 crore initiative for efficient classrooms
A ₹590 crore housing education program
A ₹101 crore allocation for teacher training
A ₹1,887 crore investment in infrastructure across all types of schools
These efforts have significantly boosted the number of children attending government primary schools, contributing to Tamil Nadu's exceptional performance in the education sector within India, according to the state government.
