New Delhi: The Udyam Sakhi portal, launched by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) to support women entrepreneurs, has so far registered 4,535 women, the government informed Rajya Sabha on Monday.

The portal — https://udyamsakhi.com/ — provides details of financial schemes such as PMEGP, CGTMSE, MUDRA and TReDS, along with policies and programmes of the MSME Ministry and other central ministries. It also offers guidance on business plan preparation and information on nodal offices, exhibitions, trade fairs and international events.

“The platform is aimed at helping women entrepreneurs start, build and grow their businesses to become self-reliant,” Minister of State for MSME Sushri Shobha Karandlaje said in a written reply.

She added that an expenditure of ₹43.52 lakh was incurred in 2018 for developing the portal.
