Chandigarh: A total of 91 students from Haryana government's flagship 'Super 100' programme have qualified the IIT-JEE Advanced 2026 examination, the School Education Department said on Monday.

According to a department spokesperson, the results were compiled from 206 students enrolled under the programme, recording a success rate of 44.2 per cent.

The spokesperson said 24 successful candidates belonged to the general category, 30 to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category and 37 to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.

The programme also saw strong participation from girls, with 34 female students qualifying the examination.

Among districts, Hisar emerged as the top performer with 16 successful candidates, followed by Fatehabad with nine qualifiers. Faridabad and Jind recorded eight qualifiers each.

Kaithal registered seven successful candidates, while Gurugram and Rewari produced six qualifiers each. Mahendragarh, Bhiwani, Kurukshetra and Palwal recorded four qualifiers each.

Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Sonipat, Nuh, Panchkula and Sirsa had two successful candidates each, while Ambala, Karnal and Yamunanagar recorded one qualifier each.

The spokesperson said the performance reflected the effectiveness of the state government's mentoring, academic support and coaching framework for students from government schools.

Under the 'Super 100' programme, meritorious government school students are provided free coaching for competitive examinations such as IIT-JEE and NEET.

The department said the initiative aims to strengthen access to quality coaching and improve representation of government school students in premier educational institutions across the country.
