Coimbatore: Air Force veteran and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) astronaut Prashanth has said that no matter how advanced artificial intelligence becomes, it cannot replace or defeat people's natural faith in God.
Speaking at the ninth edition of the X-Factor programme organised by the Young Indians wing of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Coimbatore, Prashanth highlighted India's strides in space exploration. He said the Gaganyaan mission, which aims to send Indians into space in the coming years, is progressing rapidly, with astronauts undergoing rigorous training for life in space.
“There are deep connections between ancient spirituality and modern science. Many experiences in space reflect our bond with the universe. While technology and artificial intelligence continue to grow, belief in God has been felt and proven at different times. This natural faith cannot be defeated,” he said.
The event was attended by former Titan Group Chairman Bhaskar Patel, Pride Project co-founder Vijay Kumar, Auto Car India Editor Hormazd Sorabjee, AI prodigy Rao John Aju, and personality trainer Ananthanarayanan. Young Indians Coimbatore Chapter President Neil Kikkan welcomed the gathering, while Education Division Head Vaishnavi delivered the vote of thanks.
