Chennai: Anna University has announced that supplementary examinations for students of its campus colleges will be conducted within 15 days of the declaration of semester results.

The move aims to benefit students who fail to clear one or more subjects in the regular semester exams, allowing them to appear again without waiting for six months as per the existing schedule.

The initiative will cover students from the Guindy College of Engineering, Alagappa College of Technology, School of Architecture and Planning, and the Madras Institute of Technology, which function under Anna University.

According to university officials, the semester examinations, scheduled to begin this month, will conclude in December, and the results are expected by the end of the month. The supplementary exams are likely to be held in the second week of January 2026, with results released shortly thereafter.

The decision is expected to help students save an academic term and continue their studies without delay. University authorities said the initiative reflects Anna University's commitment to supporting students' academic progress and reducing the waiting period for reappear examinations.
