Chennai: The National Statistics Office (NSO), Field Operations Division, Tamil Nadu (North) Region, is set to organize the second edition of its nationwide quiz competition, Anvesha 2.0, at the Central Lecture Theatre (CLT), IIT Madras, on Friday, July 18.

The event, which begins at 9:30 AM, is being held as part of the 75th Anniversary celebrations of the National Sample Survey (NSS). It aims to foster awareness and interest in official statistics among college and university students across Chennai.

According to officials, up to 50 teams from prominent institutions are expected to take part in the quiz. Each team will include undergraduate or postgraduate students, or alumni, and will compete on topics related to the Indian economy, official statistics, the functioning of NSO, and major government policies.

The top three winning teams will receive cash prizes of ₹10,000, ₹6,000, and ₹4,000 respectively.

Additionally, the first-place team will earn a trophy for their institution, and all participants will be awarded certificates and event kits.
