Chennai: The 37th edition of the India International Leather Fair (IILF) is set to take place at the Chennai Trade Centre from February 1st to 3rd, 2024, aiming to bolster the leather and footwear industry. With over 450 exhibitors across 10,500 square meters, IILF 2024 promises an extensive display of raw materials to finished products. Concurrently, the 7th edition of the Designer Fair will feature innovative design prototypes from 38 companies and institutions. The Council for Leather Exports (CLE) underscores its export promotion efforts through participation in international events. The Indian Footwear & Leather Development Programme (IFLDP) seeks to enhance industry infrastructure and address environmental concerns with investments totaling Rs. 1176.31 Crore. Jalan, Chairman of CLE, acknowledges government support and calls for additional measures in the upcoming Union Budget 2024-25 to boost exports and promote Indian brands globally.
