Chennai: Carnegie Mellon University - School of Computer Science (CMU-SCS) and TalentSprint have partnered to enhance diversity and inclusion in the tech sector. CMU-SCS joins TalentSprint's TechWise program, supported by Google, aimed at Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). TechWise, launched in 2022, offers an 18-month immersive program with Google-sponsored fees and additional scholarships. CMU-SCS's inclusion brings specialized master-classes to TechWise students and awards certificates upon completion.Over 200 minority students from various US colleges have benefited from TechWise, with Cohort 1 completed and Cohort 2 midway, showing promising outcomes. Cohort 3, starting in early 2024, will enroll 110 students, extending invitations to new colleges.Ram Konduru, CMU-SCS's Director of Executive & Professional Education, aims to establish an inclusive tech ecosystem. Google's VP/GM Shiv Venkataraman looks forward to amplifying TechWise's impact with CMU-SCS. The collaboration between CMU-SCS, TalentSprint, and Google aims to bridge diversity gaps in the tech industry and empower aspiring individuals from underrepresented communities. Through TechWise, students receive comprehensive training, mentorship, and opportunities, fostering a more inclusive tech environment.Santanu Paul, TalentSprint's CEO, highlights CMU-SCS's addition as a milestone, promising enriched learning journeys for participants.Established in 2010, TalentSprint, part of the NSE group, offers transformative bootcamps and learning programs to professionals aspiring for expertise.
