Chennai: The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Chennai, is extending the deadline for submission of applications for the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Talent Search Examination (TNCMTSE) for Class X students studying in government schools.

According to an official press release, the TNCMTSE for the academic year 2025-2026 is being conducted on January 31, 2026 (Saturday). Earlier, headmasters of government schools were given time from the afternoon of December 26, 2025, to January 3, 2026, to collect applications from eligible Class X students and upload the required details through the official website, www.dge.tn.gov.in.

Considering the welfare of students and with the objective of enabling more students to benefit from the scheme, the Directorate is now extending the application deadline up to January 6, 2026.

The Directorate has advised school authorities to make use of the extended period to ensure maximum participation of eligible students in the examination. The Talent Search Examination aims to identify and support meritorious students from government schools across Tamil Nadu.
