Chennai: Dinamalar newspaper will organise Vazhikatti, an Engineering Counseling Guidance Program on June 14 in Chennai's T. Nagar and Kundrathur to assist Plus 2 students aspiring to pursue B.E./B.Tech. courses.

The event is being held in association with the Chennai Institute of Technology. The first session will take place at the institute's T. Nagar campus from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a second session at the Kundrathur campus from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The initiative is part of a state-wide campaign to help students navigate the engineering admission process in Tamil Nadu.

Vazhikatti will provide insights into choosing the right college and course, understanding cut-off trends, and identifying high-employability programs.

It will also offer detailed guidance on special reservation categories, online counselling procedures, and recently introduced changes to the engineering admission process under the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) system.

Officials and education counselors from the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, will be present to offer expert advice and answer queries from students and parents. The sessions are open to the public and free of charge.
