Tiruvannamalai: Students of Arunai Engineering College won two awards of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
Announcing this, its principal K.S. Mohanavelu said that 'Finger print based attendance management system,' a project presented by their college students C. Kuppuraj and P. Manand Subramaniyam won first prize under ‘Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab National Award’ scheme, constituted by ISTE.
The next award was for another project titled ‘Development of an embedded RFID Tag and reader for dynamic updation of student information applications,’ presented by S. Prakash and D. Aswin Kumar, students of AEC, won second prize under 'Kerala Government Engineering Design National Award' constituted also by ISTE.
'The prizes and citations were presented to the students by N.R. Shetty, president, ISTE, at its 12th national students' convention held at Erode on Sunday,' Mr. Mohanavelu said.
