Chennai: Google has announced paid internship and apprenticeship opportunities for students pursuing bachelor's, master's and PhD degrees. The programmes are available in Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad.

Interested candidates can apply for Silicon Engineering Intern (PhD), Software Engineering PhD Intern and Student Researcher positions for 2026.

For the Silicon Engineering Intern (PhD), Summer 2026 programme, students pursuing PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields are eligible. The last date to apply is March 31, 2026. Selected interns will work with hardware and software experts to design next-generation cloud silicon systems.

Under the Software Engineering PhD Intern, Summer 2026 programme, PhD students specialising in software development and technical fields can apply. The 12 to 14-week internship offers professional training, expert interactions and hands-on experience in developing large-scale software systems.

For the Student Researcher, 2026 programme, students enrolled in bachelor's, master's or PhD courses in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics and Natural Sciences are eligible. Applications close on March 31, 2026. Selected candidates will take part in research and engineering projects aimed at solving real-world problems.
